Please note** Counselling requires a commitment on your part. Due to the frequency of missed appointments, all sessions must be paid in full upon booking. I do have a 24-hour cancellation policy where a session can be re-scheduled or refunded. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged at a rate of 50% for the cost of the session and appointments cancelled with 12 hours or less are charged at a rate of 75% of the cost of the session. Missed appointments are charged the full session fee.

Health Canada NIHB Crisis Mental Health Counselling Services
The NIHB counselling program funds face to face crisis-based counselling sessions only. Unfortunately online or email counselling services do not qualify for funding under the NIHB program guidelines. Please call your regional NIHB office for more information on eligible counselling services that do qualify in meeting your needs.

Extended Health and EAP programs
If you have extended health benefits through your work, or through an immediate family member’s employer, you may be covered for the services of a Registered Social Worker. Some extended health plans cover Social Work counselling while others do not. If your benefits plan does not, some clients have been successful in expanding their counselling coverage by asking their human resources department to cover the services of a RSW. It can also help if employees ask their employer to contact their group insurance provider directly to request this change.
